To me, the best leaders put people first.
Not their position, power, perception or the need to be seen as the person in the room.
I have always tried to lead collaboratively by trusting experts to be experts, supporting their ideas, and giving talented people the space and resources to do their best work. I care about creating environments where talented people feel respected, supported, and empowered to contribute their best work.
Supporting women in sports isn't a statement. It's a practice.
It's too rare that women in sports experience the opposite. Most people will get where they are by "playing the game" and encouraging you to do the same. People aren't pawns. How you treat them matters.
I care deeply about inclusion because there are still too few people making the conscious effort to create it. At Charlotte FC, I assembled Major League Soccer's first-ever all-female photography team to shoot the club’s inaugural match and home opener, and continued hiring an all-female crew for every home opener from 2022 to 2026. My creative teams have been primarily women, alongside talented men, with the majority having diverse backgrounds and perspectives represented across the group. This approach is not about exclusion. It is about intention. I hire the most capable, driven, and collaborative people for the role, and I believe building strong teams means being thoughtful about considering everyone equally.
Supporting women in sports means doing more than saying the "right" things.
It means hiring them, paying them fairly, trusting them with responsibility, and making space for their voices. It means spending the time to mentor, advocate, and help open doors, whether that is a first opportunity or the next step in their career.
