FAQs

What is included in the private online gallery?

The online gallery hosts your edited high resolution photos for viewing, sharing, and printing. After receiving your link, you have 30 days to download all of your images for safe keeping. Once payment has been received and the link has been sent, you will have full printing rights to your images.

What equipment do you use?

I use professional grade digital Canon cameras and a variety of large aperture, wide-zoom and telephoto lenses with superb optics.

What should I wear?

Be yourself! I highly encourage people to wear what makes them feel comfortable, confident, and at home.

If you're looking for more guidelines than that, I suggest neutrals (blacks, tans, grays, whites) and color coordinating complimentary, not exact matching if others are in your photos.

Are you available outside of Charlotte & North Carolina?

YES. I love to travel. Take me with you. I must note, fuel, flight, and hotel accommodations are not included in the price listing and travel expenses will need to be factored into the total cost the client is responsible for if not local to the greater Charlotte area.

What if something happens and you can’t do my photo session? Do you have a backup plan?

I have a network of excellent North Carolina-based photographers that I can contact to fill in if there is an unforeseen emergency. If you still wish that I edit the images, I’m happy to coordinate with the staffed photographer to do so! I promise if anything unexpected were to happen, I will connect you with good people and great photographers that I personally recommend!

What payment options or plans do you offer?

I accept payments via Zelle, PayPal (credit card), Venmo, cash or check (mailed or hand-delivered).

For weddings, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your date. The remaining 50% can be paid at any time leading up to wedding day or day of the wedding.

For all other sessions, payment is due the day of the session.

Can I post my photos to my social media accounts?

Of course! You will need to tag my handle
@tay.banner.photos on Instagram in the photo or leave a photo credit to that account in the caption. On Twitter, please tag @taybbanner. Lastly, please do not alter the image by using a filter or preset.

Do you do video too?

No, I provide photography only. In order to capture the highest quality still images for you, I’m unable to do two different things at the same time. Since I am solely focused on photography, I’m happy to give you referrals of excellent videographers.

How long after my shoot until I get the photos?

I always give a two week minimum with editing time (and life happen). For portrait and family shoots, typically turnaround time is much quicker. For weddings and events, I can provide a handful of sneak peak images the day after, but please allow 6-8 weeks for the full folder.

Can you Photoshop photos?

I can! If there is a photo you would like to have retouched, this request can be completed for an additional $25 fee per photo.

• skin smoothing
• teeth whitening
• small blemish removal
• additional light adjustments

Do your prices include tax?

No, but the price listed / agreed upon is all you are responsible for. Gratuity is not included, nor required, but accepted if you feel inclined.

What is a pre-wedding consultation?

The consultation is an opportunity to meet and talk about your wedding and expectations before the big day. We would go over your timeline, review your answers to a questionnaire (a shot sheet of must-have photo requests), decide when we are going to do the family formal portraits, if you are having a first look, what time to arrive, when to leave, where we will meet, and all of the other important details myself and the second shooter (if applicable) would need to know. Ultimately, it’s important so you and your partner feel more comfortable with us on your wedding day!

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes. I do ask that if anything changes, I have a month’s notice so I can return the deposit and free up my calendar for other potential clients.

Can we substitute engagement photos for something else?

Sure thing! We can do another type of shoot instead. If you would prefer to remove the second shoot from a package entirely, the price will be decreased.
